Dayana Harizanova developed interest in music from early age – she started play the piano at five and the cello when she was ten. At the age of eleven she was accepted to further her musical studies at the National School of Music and Stage Arts “Pancho Vladigerov”, in Bourgas with principal study cello. Through her teenage year she was awarded in various national and international competitions in Bulgaria for solo performance, and scholarships from the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture. She was also awarded to participate in recital tour in Baden-Baden. She graduated her Bachelor degree at Guildhall School of Music in Drama in 2016 with Stefan Popov, her MPerf degree with Louise Hopkins and Tim Lowe. During her time in Guildhall School, she was generously supported from the Guildhall School Scholarship Trust, and had the opportunity to play in GSMD Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle, Vladimir Jurowski, Yan Pascal Tortelier, Takuo Yuasa, Pietari Inkinen, Adrian Leaper and Esa-Pekka Salonen. She have been coached chamber music with members from Endellion quartet, Heath quartet, Levon Chilingirian, Danish string quartet, Carole Presland, Ursula Smith and more. She has participated in masterclasses of Leonid Gorokhov, Robert deMaine, Natalia Gutman, Josephine Knight and Hyoung Won Chang.
