Daniella is an Australian/British soprano, who has recently completed a Masters degree at the Royal Northern College of Music under the tutelage of Mary Plazas. She is now studying an Advanced Graduate Diploma generously supported by the James and Mary Glass Scholarship. Since at RNCM, she has played Despina in Cosi fan Tutte, Lady Ellington in La Vie Parisienne, La Fee in Cendrillon, Gretel in Hansel & Gretel and was a featured soloist in the cross school collaboration, Too Darn Hot. Daniella previously studied at The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), receiving a Bachelor of Music and Post-Graduate Diploma in Classical Voice under the tutelage of Patricia Price. Whilst at WAAPA, Daniella performed the roles of Belinda in Dido & Aeneas and Sandman/Dewfairy in Hansel & Gretel. Daniella has a passion for event planning and in 2014, collaborated with fellow colleague Madeleine Joyce (mezzo-soprano) to plan a fully self devised recital at the West Australian Government House Ballroom. They followed the evening with a second concert in 2015 at one of Perth’s most iconic buildings, the Forrest Chase GPO, joined by associate artist Lochlan Brown (piano) which raised funds for their first year studying abroad. In 2015, Daniella received the Young People & The Arts International Scholarship Award to further her studies abroad. Since moving to the UK, she has been awarded the Amanda Roocroft Prize, The Joyce & Michael Kennedy Strauss Prize, the John Cameron Award for Lieder and most recently, The Elizabeth Harwood Prize by the RNCM.
