“Dan brought something special to our regular Saturday lunchtime listening crowd. The set included a gorgeous interpretation of Moon River, a spacey Paul Motian tune which took the audience safely and securely into experimental territory, and a joyous bit of Thelonious Monk. Dan and his trio don't do fireworks or flash, but they make up for this in droves with tasty, playful, contemplative, collaborative lovely Jazz.
