Violinist and Violist studying at the RNCM, specialising in orchestral and chamber performance
I am a third year undergraduate violinist at the Royal Northern College of Music, where I study with Yossi Zivoni. Originally from Northampton, I was a member of the Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust from the age of 9 -18. I was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain for two years, during which time I performed in some of the country's most prestigious concert halls, including; Birmingham Symphony Hall, The Sage Gateshead, the Royal Festival Hall and the Royal Albert Hall. As part of my role as an NYO musician, I took part in numerous outreach projects, including working with secondary school students, the Orchestre Symphonique Kimbanguiste during their visit to the UK, and a group of pupils from my old primary school as part of an NYO education project. I have continued my relationship with the NYO by helping them trial new projects and schemes. Other than my experience as an orchestral player, I play Violin I in the Cuerda Quartet - a string quartet formed in September 2015 at RNCM. Together, we were finalists of the 2016 Hirsch Prize at the RNCM and have also performed our own chamber music recitals throughout Greater Manchester.
