What do your clients love most about your performances?

Our brass always steal the show!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We have performed at some amazing venues across the UK and internationally in our time, many of whom we are lucky to be partnered with. Feel free to visit our website where you can see which venues we regularly work with.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

A tough question! But some of our biggest influences include the likes of Amy Winehouse, Bruno Mars, Chaka Khan, Earth Wind & Fire, James Brown, Sister Sledge and (of course) Stevie Wonder!

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We always try to book the same players featured in our promotional material. However, if a musician is unavailable then we will replace them with one of our very capable professional deputies, who have extensive experience playing with the band.

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes we do! Get in touch to discuss our different packages for weddings and events.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We have an expertly-curated playlist that we can play through our speaker system during any breaks in the performance for free, ensuring there is no drop in atmosphere. We can also arrange to keep this playlist going after our performance as well for an additional fee.

How much time do you need to set up?

Typically we require about 1 hour to set up our equipment. For most events, we usually arrive 2 hours before our first set, allowing us time to familiarise ourselves with the venue and get ready. If you would like us to arrive earlier (to avoid setting up while your guests are around for example) we are more than happy to arrange this.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We have a standard setlist that we think works brilliantly for our events, however as long as we are given a couple of weeks' notice, we're happy to tailor the set to your needs! We can also add a song or two to our repertoire for you (e.g. for a first dance) but we will need more notice for this.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, hire of our PA is included in our quote. We need a space roughly 6x4m.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We are more than happy to perform a couple of requests with prior warning. We do have an extensive repertoire list, but cannot guarantee that any requests made on the night can be played so if you have a favourite song you really want the band to perform, simply let us know and we’ll gladly prepare it for you!

Finding great entertainment for my event (a student ball) seemed a little daunting at first but I needn’t have worried at all: Charlie was fantastic, reliable, accommodating and really helped make sure no detail was overlooked. From the very first email I felt sure that Charlie and the Funk Factory were going to be a fantastic addition to the ball. I was right - the band really was the highlight of our event! All of our guests commented on how fantastic they were and the atmosphere in the venue completely elevated during their sets. The entire band was a pleasure to deal with, I certainly hope they’ll come back and perform for us again!!

Charlie and the Funk Factory recently played at our wedding. They performed acoustic songs during our ceremony, jazz music during the drinks reception and finished the night off with three evening sets of funk music. We can not recommend Charlie and the band more highly! Charlie was an absolute pleasure to deal with - when we dreamt up our wedding music, we never actually imagined it would ever be a reality, but Charlie worked with us closely to ensure our ceremony music, first dance and other surprises along the way were not only personal but perfectly executed. The dance floor was packed from start to finish, with all of our guests left chanting for more. We can only hope you enjoyed the wedding as much as we did, you truly made it such a special and memorable occasion. Thank you!
