For several years we've been building a great reputation nationally, entertaining audiences at events up and down the country (and even overseas). Our diverse and ever-growing repertoire allows us to cater for a wide range of clients leaving us in demand for weddings, corporate events, festivals and more. Customer questions

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We offer a selection of vocalists, both male and female. Before confirming your booking, we will send you videos of the singer(s) for your approval.

Do you have different line-up options?

We offer the main 9-piece band, which can become a 10-piece with the (optional) addition of a male vocalist. In addition, we can offer scaled down 4/5-piece bands to play before the main set, or jazz groups of any size.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely, we offer an iPod DJ service before and between sets for free.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Certainly, as long as we are given a couple of weeks' notice. We can also add a song or two to our repertoire for you (e.g. for a first dance) but we will need more notice for this.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, hire of our PA is included in our quote. We need a space roughly 6x4m.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We can also add a song or two to our repertoire for you (e.g. for a first dance) but we will need some notice for this.

Antonia, 1 year ago

Charlie and the Funk Factory were just amazing at our wedding — the dance floor was packed and the fact that everyone kept calling for ‘one more song!’ at the end of the night says it all — nobody wanted their second set to end! It was so great to have them performing our first dance song for us too and it really made it such a special and memorable occasion. Thank you guys for being utterly brilliant! If you’re looking for a true funk band (and a lovely bunch of people too!), look no further. We cannot recommend Charlie and the band more highly.

Emily, 1 year ago

We recently hired Charlie and the Funk Factory to play at our wedding. They played an acoustic set and a full band set later in the evening. Both were superb. They were really lively, the vocals and musicianship were excellent, and they judged the crowd really well. We had so many comments afterwards from guests about how great they were, and we also got the impression the band really enjoyed being there playing too. Would highly recommend.
