Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My Charisma, energy and voice.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Hundreds! From Neckar Island for Richard Branson to Milton Keynes Arena, Festivals, pubs, clubs, weddings, birthdays.... America, Norway, Holland, Portugal, France and of course the UK!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, David Coverdale, Dire Straits, Bruno Mars, Michael McDonald, Queen, Rolling Stones....

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Probably for Richard Branson and his family and friends on his Private Island in the Caribbean.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

If I am providing the sound system then I will happily provide music for the breaks free of charge.

How much time do you need to set up?

Usually 1 hour in total

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes, of course - as long as the piano is in working order and in tune, then I'm happy to play on it!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

I have years of experience in knowing which songs work to get a crowd going so probably best to leave that in my hands :) But of course I will play any requests you have. I bring requests slips and pens along. I have a huge repertoire of over 2000 songs.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes, I bring a white portable baby grand piano included in the price.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If I don't already know the song then I am happy to learn one special song for you at no additional cost.

Carl played a set at my partner’s 40th Birthday party. The guests absolutely loved it and were soon making requests, of which pretty much all of them were played. Carl’s vocal range is amazing and he can turn his hand (and voice) to any genre you can think of. Some of the songs even came along with very good vocal impersonations of the original artists too - from Elton John to Prince, and from Dire Straits to Shaggy, nothing was refused. I’ve got to say my personal favourite was a version of Paul Simon’s “Call Me All, with other great tracks added to the medley and our partygoers agreed, dancing and singing the evening away. I would recommend Carl to anyone looking for some live music with character at their events. He’s an amazing pianist, a great singer and performer, and a really great guy to chat to as well.
