About Canorum Trio
Formed in 2012, the Canorum Trio (formerly London Lithuanian Trio) has already established itself as a promising chamber music ensemble. Antanas Makstutis - clarinet, Ugne Tiskute - viola and Jelena Makarova – piano, are current and past students of the Royal Academy of Music (RAM) in London who have been awarded full scholarships to study at RAM under the tuition of professors, Mark van de Wiel, Paul Silverthorne, Colin Stone and Michael Dussek. The distinctive sound of clarinet viola and piano encourages the group to collaborate with young composers from leading music colleges in the UK, as well as perform the standard repertoire. Their recent performances include recitals at the Norfolk and Norwich Festival, Charlton House, Senate House, St. Martin –in- the-Fields and David Josefowitz Recital Hall Concert series at the Royal Academy of Music. In their performances, the Canorum Trio has demonstrated maturity, professionalism and excelling talent. This vibrant chamber music group brings a refreshing repertoire for a wide audience and is passionate about exploring new possibilities for this remarkable combination of instruments.
