Can you perform covers?
Yes no problem. We perform a range of pop, country, blues, folk and rock classics. We also perform some Scottish favourites like Shang-a lang & 500 miles. We can adjust the music and performance through out the evening to ensure your special event unique. Our usual performance would be first 1/2 ceilidh only and the second 1/2 a mixture of covers & ceilidh.
Do you have different line-up options?
Our line up is as follows Fiddle, Keyboards, Bass Guitar, Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar and drums. We also have an on floor ceilidh caller with radio mic to lead the dancing. For the covers we add male lead and backing vocals.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer an ipod service for free. If you'd like a DJ service this can be arranged at a moderate extra cost approx £100 .
How much time do you need to set up?
We usually require a minimum of 1.15 minutes to set up before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!
Do you provide a caller?
Yes we do! We have a fantastic on floor ceilidh caller " Gillian" as part of Best Before Midnight. Gillian has performed and competed in Highland and national Dancing since the age of 3 yrs. Gillian was 3 x Senior Scottish Highland Dance Champion. Gillian also qualified as a teacher and judge in the art of Highland Dance and produced many champions.
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA) included in your quote?
Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it so please ask. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn and it suits our style and we have enough time to rehearse them we would be happy to learn and perform this.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
We have played at many Castles, top venues & hotels throughout Scotland & the North of England. We have also played at Celtic folk festivals in Wales, Steenvoorde, Lorient, Majorca and a tour of Taiwan. In all of these countries our caller has taught ceilidh dancing often with the use of an interpreter if required. Gillian has an enhanced PVG .
