Professional session musician, producer, composer, conductor, technician and teacher. Offering over 10 instruments & home studio.
Hi I'm Bertie Webb, a professional musician and music teacher specialising in voice, percussion, string and guitar instruments. I have performed in over 1000 concerts since my debut at the age of 2, playing over 200 gigs in 2013 alone. These include performances for celebrities and royalty, playing cello for HRH Queen Elizabeth II and HRH Prince Phillip as well as singing for HRH Price Charles. I studied cello under James Halsey, from the Royal College of Music junior department, and music (BMus hons) at The University of Huddersfield (studying conducting under award winning conductor Natalia Luis-Bassa and composition and performance under world renowned pianist Dr. Philip Thomas.) I am a trained opera singer, studying under English National Opera's principal baritone Christopher Booth-Jones, and have performed in many musicals and stage productions, taking the lead roles in Oliver, Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Grease and Oklahoma. I have toured all over the UK and Europe, and have headlined some prestigious venues including; The NEC (Birmingham,) Aintree Racecourse and The Cavern Club (Liverpool,) as well as playing with some highly regarded ensembles including The Orchestra of The Swan as the soloist for their Snowman tour. After university I founded and ran my own record label and recording studio. We worked with bands and solo artists from all over the world, producing and releasing over 300 tracks - many of which I played several instruments on. After the splitting of one of our groups I was asked if I would be interested in starting a new events group with some of the members. We had an idea of letting guests sing lead vocals with us as a backing band, and bandeoke was born! We played around 500 gigs in 3 years touring around the UK and Europe and playing for names such as; Pfizer, MTV, Sky, Gala, De Vere and Marriott (to name but a few.) We were the entertainment of choice for 100s of weddings and parties, playing for celebrities, FTSE 100 companies and countless happy couples. After the birth of my baby girl I decided to take a step back from gigging, which was often 5 times a week, and started teaching and working freelance. I currently teach over 200 pupils per week at Musicland (Market Drayton,) Adam's Grammer School & Castle House (Newport,) Norton In Hales Primary School and at The Academy for Performing Arts (Betley.) I offer instrumental lessons up to grade 8 in; guitar, voice, piano, violin, cello, bass guitar, drums, ukelele, double bass and music theory. I still gig with several groups, including bandeoke when needed, and am available to hire for any concert on any of my instruments. When I am not teaching or gigging I am always hard at work practising and recording. I work with musicians and ensembles from all over the UK and further afield. From singer songwriters who need backing tracks for their latest singles to orchestras and choirs looking for an original composition to perform, I am available to hire for masterclasses, recording sessions, workshops etc... I am always keen to work on any project. If you are looking for a session musician, conductor, composer or technician for anything then please get in touch with me.
