American clarinetist, Berginald Rash is quickly establishing himself as an exciting international artist
having won the 2015-16 Great Music in Irish Houses Support Act Residency with the Mondrian Trio.
Currently based in Dublin, Ireland, Berginald is Co-Founder & Artistic Director of Vivre Musicale and
an 1848 Scholar at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. He has been heard with such orchestras as the
RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra as part of their 2016 Mentoring Scheme, the Virginia Symphony
and is a member of London-based Chineke! Orchestra with whom he performed on BBC 3’s In Tune
with Sean Rafferty and made his Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall debut. Comfortable as both
a chamber musician and soloist, Mr. Rash has collaborated with members of the Orchestra of the Age
of Enlightenment, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, and the RTÉ
ConTempo Quartet and has soloed at the National Concert Hall in Dublin, Ireland. His teachers include
John Finucance, Matthew Billing, Vicent Alberola, Todd Levy, Frank Kowalsky, Deborah Bish, and F. Edward Knakal.
