ARUNDO are an award-winning clarinet quartet based in Manchester, UK. The group was formed in 2015 when each of the members commenced studies at the Royal Northern College of Music. To say that ARUNDO have had a successful first year would be an understatement. Alongside winning both the Trevor Wye prize for Woodwind Chamber Music and the Chris Rowland Chamber Music competition’s Audience Prize, the group have received coaching from world class musicians such as Adam Gorb, Rob Buckland, Matt Hunt and most recently the Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet as part of a public masterclass at the RNCM. ARUNDO’s combination of technical prowess and innovative character has resulted in a busy schedule of events both inside and outside the RNCM.
