The Annie Majin Quartet is a young, fresh and entertaining jazz band, currently in demand around London. The band is comprised of two quick-riffing guitar playing brothers - Tobias and Geary Allen, the swinging double bassist George Richardson, who is highly regarded in the London jazz scene, and vintage vocalist Annie Majin- a young singer who’s warm and captivating voice transports you to the 1940’s. Playing in a gypsy jazz style, the Annie Majin quartet blends fast paced gypsy classics with covers of more modern romantic jazz ballads to provide you with a night of beautiful vintage entertainment. With their authentic, old-time sound, high energy, and vintage aesthetics, the Annie Majin Quartet is guaranteed to add some charm and flair to your venue or event.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Our authentically vintage sound, our incredible levels of talent and musicianship. Annie Majin’s warm and classical voice blends jazz with operatic tones for a unique and breathtaking performance every time.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Twinwood Vintage Festival, Figaro’s Bar London, Le Quecumbar and Brasserie, The Lighthouse Music and Arts, The Arden Theatre.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Django Reinhardt, Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Fats Waller.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

The UK’s biggest vintage music festival - Twinwood Festival.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our standard line up is: -two acoustic guitars, a double bass and vocalist. We can perform as: - a trio with a vocalist and two guitars - a duo with a guitarist and vocalist - a quintet with two acoustic guitars, a vocalist, double bass, and clarinet.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We aim to be flexible with timings and dates to accommodate your needs. Just get in contact and we will arrange something depending on when you want us!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We offer this service for free, we will be able to play whatever music you would like in between sets.

How much time do you need to set up?

For acoustic sets for smaller venues or a more low-key sound, our set up time is a minimal 10 minutes to set up the microphone for our vocalist. However, a bigger set up with a PA and amplified guitars may take 30 minutes - an hour.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Yes, we either perform acoustically or with pick ups attached to our guitars so we are able to walk around and interact with the audience.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Absolutely, we are also able to learn nee material if there is a song you’d like to hear that’s not on our set! Just let us know a week or so in advance and we will learn some songs for you.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

We are able to supply our own equipment if needed. However we do not supply lighting.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Absolutely! Whatever song you’d like us to learn, give us a week or so and we will work on creating a vintage jazz arrangement.
