Alexandra Standing, Pianist/Accompanist BMus (Hons) Masters student at Royal Academy of Music.

Alexandra has recently graduated from the BMus degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she studied piano with Aaron Shorr. Alexandra has previously taken part in masterclasses with Richard Uttley, Mami Teraoka and Susan Tomes. In 2017, she was awarded highly commended in the Louise Carus Duo Prize at the RCS. Venues that Alexandra has performed in include the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and St George’s Church, Hanover Square. Whilst at the RCS she has played for many performances as part of the RCS Piano Festival and the PLUG New Music Festival. As an orchestral pianist, Alexandra played with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra through the RSNO’s Apprenticeship Scheme in 2017. Alexandra freelances as pianist for the RSNO Chorus, as well as a freelance piano accompanist for the RCS and for the RCS Junior Conservatoire. Alexandra is looking forward to moving down to London to study a masters degree in Accompaniment at the Royal Academy of Music.
