Adel Sahnoun's music versatility has led him to perform at London's top venues such as the Royal Festival Hall, Saint Martin in the Fields, Handel House Museum & the O2 Academy. As a student, Adel was a prize winner to several competitions and Awards, including: June Emerson Wind Music Launchpad Prize; Croydon Concerto Competition; EMI Music Foundation Instrumental Award, and a finalist in the Harold Clarke Woodwind Competition. Adel has also recorded for Channel 4, BBC Persian and broadcasted for the BBC Radio 3 & BBC Radio 4. Born in Algiers, Adel started playing the flute just before reaching his 13th birthday, while a student at Conservatoire de Musique de Bologhine in the class of Djamel Ghazi. Three years later, he was the youngest player to join l’Orchestre Philarmonique d’Alger and l’Orchestre Symphonique National d'Algerie. The same year, he was also invited to perform with the l'Orchestre International du Crous de Paris and makes his international debut. Between 2010 & 2013, Adel has held the position of solo flute with the Co-Opera Co; In 2012 he becomes the solo flute of Kidenza Orchestra; and in 2013 he returned to join l’Orchestre Symphonique National d’Algerie as a Co-Principal. He is also an associate member with Takaleed, and co-founder of Prima Vista; Amorosi Duo, & The Alchemy Ensemble. As a solist, Adel has toured Europe, Asia & Africa performing in prestigious festivals such as Harbin Summer Music Festival in China. As a teacher, Adel has been invited to give flute masterclass at Trinity College of Music; Institut National Superieur de Musique in Algeria, Conservatoire Central d’Alger; and Morley College. Adel performed in masterclasses of: Patrick Gallois, Jacques Zoon, Susan Milan, Paul Edmund Davies, Wissam Boustany, Dan Laurin,and Pamela Thorby. He graduated with honours from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance where he studied the modern flute with Anna Noakes, piccolo with Alain Baker & Baroque flute with Dr Stephen Preston.
