About Acoustica

acoustic band
London
Public liability insurance of £10 million
An acoustic trio featuring guitar, fiddle and cello, with three vocals. Acoustica play a huge range of music including folk, pop and jazz.

Led by singer/guitarist Paul Kerr, from Co Armagh, Northern Ireland, Acoustica began as an Irish band, playing traditional songs and tunes as well as more contemporary material by artists such as Van Morrison and The Waterboys. Along with Chris Haigh (fiddle, vocals) and Rupert Gillett (cello, vocals) they have built a huge and now very broad repertoire which now extends well beyond the Celtic borders to include elements of jazz, country, tango, Jewish, rock and blues. Among the band’s covers include songs by The Beatles, David Bowie, The Kinks, Prince, Pink Floyd, Simon and Garfunkel, Coldplay, The Beach Boys, Leonard Cohen, Elbow, Van Morrison and The Waterboys. All are given a folky and original twist by the unusual line up and virtuosity of the players.

“My husband was delighted with the surprise party and he was enthralled by the music all evening as were all our quests. You and your fellow musicians created exactly the right mood and atmosphere for a perfect evening. Many thanks, Jackie Hayden.” “We have been getting some very positive feedback from events you have done for us recently, and I wanted to thank you for the continuing level of professionalism you display, your actions reflect very positively on our company, and I thank you for that. It also leads to happy clients who come back for more...It is always a pleasure organising work with you, and long may it last!”
