Aaron O'Sullivan

Aaron studied Music at City University whilst having Trumpet lessons with Anne McAnaney (London Philharmonic Orchestra) at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. During his time at City he played Principal Trumpet with the university Symphony Orchestra, Brass Ensemble as well as various amateur orchestras around London. Whilst studying at City, Aaron gained the DipABRSM in Instrumental Teaching with Distinction as well as Grade 8 in Music Theory. Aaron has been playing Drum Kit since the age of 8 and has been a busy performer since the age of 17. He has performed with many cover and function bands in the London and Essex area depping for professional drummers such as Russell Gilbrook (Uriah Heep). Always wanting to learn, Aaron is currently studying with Craig Blundell (Steven Wilson). Working as a Trumpeter and Drum Kit player in and around London has led Aaron to perform at venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Abbey Road Studios, Pinewood Studios, The Sage, Mermaid Theatre and LSO St. Lukes. Since graduating for City in 2012, Aaron studied for a PGCE in Secondary Music at UCL, Institute of Education. He is currently a Music Teacher working in West Essex teaching KS3 through to A-Level. At the school Aaron directs the Senior Concert Band, Brass Ensemble and Drumming Groups whilst closely working with the Orchestra and School Choir.
